Lisa and Otto

Lisa

Lisa is one of my best friends in Germany. We met almost 40 years ago at a publishing company where I started an apprenticeship. We instantly became friends, despite me moving 30 times (Lisa moved 1 time during all those years), getting married 3 times (Lisa got married 1 time), and raising 2 sons (Lisa doesn’t have children). We always stayed friends and every-time I’m in good old Germany, we meet and have a great time together!

Otto

Otto is a German Comedian, a multitalent and funny as hell! He started his career as a musician, but being nervous and making mistakes while performing forced him to apologize all the time. And it turned out that people loved those little apology gigs more than the music. So he continued with the funny gigs and used music only as a side entertainment. Being a multitalent, he also writes, sings, draws and paints.

One of his signature drawings is the Ottifant, a little blue elephant that pops up in many of his sketches. And paintings:

And so it happened that there was an Otto exhibition at the Buchheim Museum at the Starnberg Lake and Lisa and I spend a lovely afternoon there, followed by a delicious dinner at Shanti in Schwabing, Munich!
