7.5 miles floating around in London

You might think that we eat and drink all the time and you are right! We eat and drink a lot, but we also walk many miles almost every day. So today we walked 1 hour to the Tate Modern, spent 3 hours there, then let the neighborhood swallow us in for another 6 hours. We saw a lot of interesting architecture, lots of diversity and contrasts. And here are a few examples:

And what is this you might think? This is a photo that I took in the basement of the 110 year old Sekforde Pub. Under this glass cover is a river and the pub creates electricity of the flowing water!
Cheers! 🍺

London – Stereotypes

Stereotype #1: British food tastes ugly. But we had the best Greek food outside Greece yesterday for dinner, we had a very tasty, perfectly made egg Benedict for breakfast today, a vegan dinner to die for and the best apricot pastry with our afternoon tea, that was sooo good, that we got another one! => stereotype #1 is not confirmed!

Lunch at Tate Modern
Apricot cake at Paul, next to St. Paul’s cathedral
Viognier and Viño Verde at Matilda’s
Nachos 🌶
Fried rice with tofu 🌶🌶
Vegan “meatballs” with noodles 🌶🌶🌶

Stereotype #2: It always rains in London. This was not the case yesterday. And it was not the case today. And it will not be the case tomorrow or the day after, or the day after that…

Stereotype #3: British people are overly stiff / proper / class-conscious. True, which reflects in well-dressed and groomed guys, polished shoes, matching accessories, etc

Stereotype #4: British people have bad teeth
