Happy birthday, Lori!

Lori (and all of us) were treated to a fabulous dinner last night to celebrate her 66th birthday. Delicious treats, Sangria, tapas, paella and a tiramisu!

We also had mussels, Spanish potato salad, dates with bacon, spicy shrimp and seafood salad. We could have invited half of Montuiiri to help eat all this delicacies…..

In 1977 Udo Jürgens landed a big hit with his song „Mit 66 Jahren“. The text is a fun collection of ideas what to do once you turn 66, because „with 66 years life starts and is far from away from the end“ – happy birthday, Lori

The day we had spent in Llucmajor, a little town with a big church, actually the biggest church on Mallorca. There, my friends Alexandra & Wolfgang had remodeled / rebuilt a townhouse. They have exquisite taste and no shyness of choosing unusual, comfortable, creative details to make life fabulous! Rooftop terrace with a view to the massive church, floors throughout the 4 story house, that are not only heated for the winter, but cooled for the summer, walls of glass that just disappear with the push of a button, custom tiles in the modernista art nouveau style that we saw at Can Prunera, and the most pleasing color palette that Alexandra and I have in common: blues throughout every room!

Llucmajor is a very nice town, sleepy on Sundays, busy for the rest of the week. August is a quiet month because lots of Mallorcans are gone on vacation…

And here I am: still hobbling around with my crutches…
