Sicily – Stromboli Leisure Time

Our site just hit 5000 views! That’s amazing and we are thrilled that so many people keep on having an interest in our travel adventures!!!

“Relax, relax, relax” was the motto of today. Maybe we still have to digest Napoli with its overload of stimulation and food, but whatever it is, we needed to relax. So we went to the beach, black beach to be precise and enjoyed swimming! It was soothing to the body and the soul!

After a late lunch we walked around town, discovered some nice flowers and other beautiful stuff

Sicily – Stromboli Volcano

Before the evening boat tour to the other side of the island, we strolled around town a little to discover lots of interesting views…

And of course doors, lots of doors! Did I mention that Stromboli reminds me of some Greek islands 40 years ago, before hordes of tourists swamped in?

And last but not least: the volcano! Fascinating!

First we were greeted by a beautiful sunset in the west, then the moon rose in the east.

And the volcano was right in-between. The darker it got, the more we saw the erupting orange lava. We were lucky yesterday, we even saw three explosions – spectacular!
