Bavarian Forest, not Black Forest!

The Black Forest is located in the southwest corner of Germany, close to Switzerland and Austria. It is famous for a view things: prosciutto, mild climate and the TV series „Schwarzwaldklinik“, meaning „Black Forest Clinic“ (the German answer to “ER”, with Sascha Hehn as the heartbreaking sunny boy doctor who breaks every woman’s heart). But we are not in the Black Forest, we are spending one week in the Bavarian Forest, which is also very picturesque! It is located in the northeastern corner of Bavaria, very close to the Czech Republic. Therefore the area has good breweries, lots of glass art and wood working artist. Do you know those Christmas pyramids that spin around with the plain force of a few candles? Handmade and nostalgic? That’s what I’m talking about! Or handblown Christmas balls, tree ornament, decorations and all sorts of Schnickschnack? That’s what I’m talking about too! So here we are in the Bavarian Forest, in a small town called Bodenmais. Our hotel, the Adam Bräu is super cozy, very welcoming and we are extremely excited to go to the spa, swim, get a massage, etc…..
